Who would have thought that an Audi sedan, which had been in regular operation for more than four years and had been maintained on time, would be suddenly recognized as a “false car” by the transfer authorities one day and detained in accordance with the law? When the owner was desperate to get a statement for the car he bought for 270,000, it was discovered that the company that sold the car had already written off and that the sale had already been sent to prison.
Experience: "Fake car" for four years.
In recent days, Ms. Anhui Huainan, a citizen who had sought help from the Elephant News, reflected his normal use of the Audi car for more than four years, was suddenly identified by the transfer authorities as a problem vehicle whose shelf number had been altered and whose certificates had been forged and seized.
Ms. Zhui bought Odi from Wing Namu Industries Motor Services Ltd.
Ms. Xian recalled that in March 2022, she had purchased a white Odi A4L at a price of $240,000 naked, which was claimed by the merchant to be a new car in stock at a price of tens of thousands of dollars. “The total landing price is about $270,000, and I always thought this was the new car.” Ms. Xian introduced that, when buying the car, the merchant promised to pack the cards and land, and that all entry formalities would be performed by the door shop. The vehicle was successfully registered at the Huainan City Garage after being certified by the Yunan Motor Vehicle Safety Technical Testing Company Ltd. For more than four years, Ms. Xian drove across the street in a car of love and kept it on schedule, without any anomaly.
However, in March 2026, she was denied insurance against the renewal of the vehicle, and the insurance system showed that the vehicle ' s shelf number was duplicated and duplicated. Following investigations by the Huainan City Garage Authority and a reply from the owner, it was confirmed that the vehicle ' s frame number had been altered, that the vehicle ' s licence certificate had been forged and that the vehicle in question had been seized in accordance with the law.
Mrs. Odie paid 270,000.
The impasse: cancellation of sales companies, imprisonment of those responsible
Ms. Zhou indicated that her car, which she had been using regularly, had suddenly been identified as a “false car” and that the result was difficult for her to accept and she then chose to report the case for help.
After further police verification, it was established that Zhang, a salesman with a prior record of fraud, was currently serving a prison sentence, and that Wingnamu Motors Services Ltd., a related case, was cancelled in February 2026. The sales company is no longer in existence, and it is incumbent upon the Youngan-Ann Motor Vehicle Safety Technical Testing Ltd., which originally issued the Motor Vehicle Safety Technical Inspection Report for vehicle registration and residence.
The year-on-year test material drawn by Ms. Zhou from the drive-in showed that the report clearly indicated that the authenticity of the vehicle, such as the frame number, was to be checked and that all the results indicated that the inspection was satisfactory. In her view, this was a false test report. After the March incident, Ms. Xian applied to the police for the first time to open the case, and in May to report the matter to various channels, such as the Mayor's Hotline 12345, in the hope that the authorities concerned would clarify their responsibilities and recover their losses to the extent possible, but no one had contacted her voluntarily to date.
Figure: Relevant monitoring stations
Response: Testing agencies call it “uninformed”
In response to Ms. Xian, Elephant Reporters contacted Hwa Nam Yunan Motor Vehicle Safety Testing Ltd. On the telephone, the staff member indicated that she was not aware of what had been said by Ms. Xian and that he would respond to the press when she was presented to the leadership. At the time of the submission, however, no official reply had been received from the company.
This “new cars” incident not only left the owners in a rights-based situation, but also exposed possible regulatory gaps in vehicle detection, sales, etc.
Journalists interviewed members of the legal profession on the matter. The director of the law firm Henan Zedhezin found that the cover-up of the illegal status of the vehicle had resulted in the payment of 270,000 yuan for the purchase of the vehicle, which was in line with the elements of the fraud offence; that the cancellation of the company did not imply the automatic liquidation of the debt, and that the shareholders would be jointly and severally liable if the company were to cancel the registration without being legally liquidated or if it was to carry out a false liquidation; and that Ms. Xian had the right to claim joint and several liability for the falsely qualified report and the loss of Ms. Xian ' s safety technology test company, Inc.
The incidents are still under further investigation, the timely involvement of the relevant departments and clarification of their responsibilities, and there will be ongoing attention to elephant news.
