Amazon offers the best offer to treat yourself to the Apple Watch SE 3 in its XXL version

Authors

Among Apple connected watches, the Watch SE 3 represents the entry level with significant progress compared to the previous model. It now includes an always-on display mode, but also a new temperature sensor and a more powerful processor. This watch goes to the essentials and costs almost 15% less in its 44mm version.

The advantages of the Apple Watch SE 3

- Accurate tracking for GPS and heart rate

- Numerous health scores

- A bright OLED panel

Launched at 299 euros, the Apple Watch SE 3 in its 44 mm and GPS version is currently on sale for 260.99 euros on Amazon.

An unchanged design, but a screen that gains a practical function

The Apple Watch SE 3 has the same appearance as the previous model. We find a square aluminum case which unfortunately retains wide borders around the screen. On the other hand, the brand has improved the resistance of its affordable watch: the screen benefits from Ion-X glass four times more scratch-resistant than that of the Watch SE 2. It is also water resistant up to 50 meters, which allows you to swim with it, but be careful, it is not suitable for scuba diving.

Its OLED panel is always pleasant to view with an increased brightness which reaches 1,000 cd/m². Certainly, other watches do better, but it remains readable in all circumstances and finally offers the always-on mode.

Improved performance and smoother interface

Delivered with watchOS 11 and the S10 chip (the one that equips the Apple Watch Series 10), the watch offers a smoother interface, but also gesture management and a more responsive Siri.

On the sports and health side, the Watch SE 3 brings its share of new features and notably offers the Sleep Score index, which assesses the quality of sleep and allows you to receive alerts in the event of sleep apnea detection. Apple is also adding a temperature sensor to give retrospective ovulation estimates. It's a shame that the watch still has such an old heart rate sensor, but it remains precise, as does the GPS tracking.

Finally, in terms of autonomy, during our test, we were able to reach up to 44 hours with reasonable use. We exceed the day of use with the always-on display, but certain models, sometimes much less expensive, offer up to a week, or even two, continuously.
