Android: Google Pixel customization could become colorful

Who hasn't spent time customizing their new Android smartphone once the initial setup is complete? Especially if you have a Google Pixel. The brand's mobiles often have additional options that the competition will also get, but later.

Here, Android Canary, the first version welcoming the new features to test, receives what you need to find the perfect theme color for your Pixel. Keep in mind that the feature may never see the light of day in the end. That being said, here is what it allows you to do.

The Google Pixel would be full of colors thanks to an Android update

“There is now a slider to adjust the hue, as well as four main color styles for more precise color customization,” reveals Mishaal Rahman on X (Twitter). The cursor in question is visible in the image serving as the main illustration for this article.

As for the four styles, above, you can choose from “Neutral”, “Soft”, “Bright” and “Bold”. They determine the color palette you have access to in the next step.

The final choice is found here in the quick settings panel, but also that of the widget selection. It seems that the blurring effect expected with Android 17 has been slightly accentuated. To see if this will be the case in the stable version of the system, planned from June 2026.
