Anthropic confidentially submitted an application for a stock exchange on the US office, the company announced on Monday. The AI company introduces the chatbot Claude which is popular with software developers and other business customers and this year has experienced a compelling rise.

The company did not know what evaluation it wanted on the stock exchange, nor did it make other terms of the offer public. The start-up announced on Thursday that there were $65 billion in funding to evaluate the company after financing with $965 billion. Anthropic was rated 380 billion US dollars in February.

Anthropic's application continues the company's success year and comes to its competitors OpenAI before, which is expected to apply for its own exchange. Anthropic’s recent assessment also meant that OpenAI was overhauled and became the most valuable startup in the world.

The submission underlines the increasing financial risks of the AI competition, as Elon Musks SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic should go to the stock exchange this year. SpaceX has applied for a stock exchange with a value of around US$ 1.75 trillion, as the company is targeting investment of US$75 billion.

Through the confidential submission of anthropic, the supervisory authorities have time to examine the company's financial statements before the investor prospectus of the AI company is published. The confidential filing of documents is now common for large companies, and SpaceX is also going to the same way.

Anthropic announced the submission in a short blog post consisting of two paragraphs, in which neither a precise schedule for the Company's stock exchange was specified or the number of shares offered was announced.

“This gives us the opportunity to go to the stock exchange after the SEC has completed its audit. The planned stock exchange will depend on market conditions and other factors,” Anthropic said.

The Company's stock exchange is expected to take place in the autumn of this year.

Previously, Anthropic was considered a subordinate actor in the AI competition, but last year the rapid rise of Anthropic brought the company to its attention with OpenAI in terms of dominance over the industry. Most of the growth took place after the company launched its Claude chatbot's advanced coding assistants at the end of last year.

While Anthropic tries to establish its market presence, the company also gains cultural and political importance as it invests money in political spending and interest-representation programs. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, the company issued 1.6 million US dollars for lobbying efforts, compared to 360,000 US dollars in the same period last year. It leads to an evocative dispute against Donald Trump's government because of the use of his Claude-KI by the Pentagon, which the company has classified as a “supplier chain risk” and has excluded it from military work.
