If you are the type of person who is always chasing a charger or an outlet, it may be time to invest in a power bank worthy of the name. That's what you have with the Ugreen 300W, a massive device, certainly, but which has five versatile ports, a maximum power of 300 W and a giant capacity of 48,000 mAh. Sold today with more than 50% off, it allows you to charge all your devices: smartphone, tablet, PC and many more.
The strong points of the Ugreen 300W
- Its enormous capacity of 48,000 mAh
- It works with an ultra-durable LiFePO4 battery
- Complete digital display
On the Ugreen website, the 5-port 300 W and 48,000 mAh external battery is listed at 129 euros instead of 199 euros, but PC Componentes does even better by offering it at only 84.29 euros.
An imposing and enduring battery
The Ugreen 300W is a fairly physically imposing battery: it measures 143 x 105 x 77 mm and weighs 1,637 g. It is not made for everyday use, for going to work or class for example. It is rather for nomadic use that we can deduce from the presence of a carrying handle and a lighting system offering three modes: bright, dim or SOS light. For going camping, it's a must, however, since you can connect up to five devices to it.
On the front, there is an intelligent LED display which shows in real time the remaining battery percentage, the power delivered port by port, the internal temperature and even the time. And to embrace the camping/nomadic side, the power bank is shock resistant thanks to the protections it includes. Just don't forget your cables before you leave.
Enough to charge your devices several times
The battery has a total capacity of 48,000 mAh, which corresponds to 153.6 Wh of stored energy. In practice, this allows you to recharge an iPhone 15 Pro more than 10 times, for example. But you can connect something other than a smartphone, and above all, several devices at the same time. The 300W of power is distributed across five ports: a main USB-C delivering up to 140W, two USB-Cs with up to 100W each, and two USB-A at 22.5W. Even if you use all five ports, the battery maintains a high minimum power.
When it is at 0%, it takes about an hour and a half to fully charge the battery itself. It’s very quick and particularly useful when you go on a trip with it. A word about its battery, which is of the LiFePO4 type, normally found on electric cars, which supports more than 3,000 charging cycles while retaining more than 80% of its initial capacity. Basically, you have 7 to 10 years of intensive use without noticeable degradation.
If this external battery does not meet your needs, perhaps those offered in our guide to the best power banks will be more interesting.
