According to information from IT House on June 6, there has been a recent wave of more concentrated price adjustments in the domestic market for new energy vehicles, with multiple car types experiencing price increases or a tightening of terminal preferences. According to today's report, there is a clear cost push behind this round of price changes -- the price of car-grade storage chips has experienced a rare surge in the last three months.

According to financial reports, the overall price of car-graded storage chips has increased by approximately 180 per cent in the last three months. According to incomplete statistics, more than a dozen new energy companies in the country have recently adjusted their prices or tightened their preferences, generally ranging from $2,000 to $600,000.

In fact, there are early warnings from the automotive industry chain of the price increases for the storage chips. In January, Ulya Li Bin stated that the biggest cost pressure this year was on memory price increases, which were a common industry-wide challenge, and that Mong Gyeong Peng, Vice-President of the ideal car supply chain, predicted that the rate of satisfaction in 2026 might be less than 50 per cent.
