The comfort of contactless payment can already feel magical, but Cash App is really oriented with its latest accessories. The mobile payment service brings the Cash App wall to the market: an NFC-enabled, dazzling wand with a starry tip that allows users to make payments on the go without having to tick their phone or card.
Cash App has created a magic wand for contactless payment
If you are not able to make your own ideas yourself, a purchase in the store is fine.
This plays on a popular DIY trend that already cures on social media platforms and in which people print their own creative “fills” for contactless payment cards in 3D (or otherwise construct). Magic sticks seem to be the most popular design, probably because the greater range makes them suitable for drive-in payments, but we have also seen huge Nintendo coins – the only restriction is that a real payment card must fit into your creation.
The alternative to Cash App differs in that it is more compact and uses an integrated NFC tag that is coupled to an active Cash App card. Included in delivery is a keychain that you can attach to your belt or bag (provided you are not afraid that it will be stolen to you, although this obviously does not look like a card). The accessory is supposed to appeal to teenagers, with Cash App establishing that every fifth teenager in the USA already uses his cash app card.
The magic wand is available for eligible customers from 13 years from today for 25 US dollars via the Cash App, “as long as the stock lasts”. It works wherever Visa Tap-to-Pay is accepted, and has built-in security features that allow you to block or unlock it within the app, as well as real-time transaction alerts and fraud monitoring support around the clock.
If you are not interested in magic sticks, don’t worry – this is the first of several planned cash app tags, and the company says that it plans to bring out “in the coming weeks” limited editions of new day designs before they become available later this summer.
