Don't buy a new Samsung now. The upcoming Galaxy S27 will blow away its predecessors

This year's Galaxy S26 family didn't bring huge changes, just a pleasant evolution. The biggest novelty was the privacy screen in the S26 Ultra model. Many specification and styling elements remain virtually identical. This will change in the S27 series, because Samsung is preparing big news.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra with a new look and a larger battery

The style of the Samsung Galaxy S Ultra has been virtually unchanged for years. Even though the manufacturer slightly experimented with the appearance of the camera island, the vertical arrangement of cameras with three modules below each other and the fourth lens right next to it remained unchanged from the S21 Ultra model.

New reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will be equipped with a triple set of cameras in a horizontal arrangement. Graphics showing the potential appearance of the device have appeared online, and it's hard not to get the impression that Samsung has already used a similar approach.

Just go back to 2019, when the manufacturer showed the Galaxy S10 series, in which the S10 and S10+ models were equipped with three cameras arranged in a horizontal strip. If the leaks are true, the S27 Ultra released next year will also feature a similar design. Of course, this will not be an identical solution - in the upcoming model we should expect a larger and more protruding camera island.

Today's lenses are much larger than they were a few years ago. This is due to differences in sophistication: current smartphones take much more advanced photos and offer better zooms.

The next big improvement in the S27 Ultra is the battery, which, according to the informant, will have a capacity approaching 6,000 mAh. The exact number has not been given, but we expect a significant increase. Why is it so important? Because Samsung has been using 5000 mAh cells in S Ultra models for years. This capacity was first used in the S20 Ultra in 2020. It hasn't changed for seven generations, but this time it may be different.

In the S27 Ultra and other representatives of the S27 series, we also expect the use of main cameras with a variable aperture mechanism, allowing for better photos in various lighting conditions.

In addition to the improvements to the S27 Ultra, the all-new S27 Pro will join the S27 family. This is the fourth Galaxy model, which is to be a proposition between the best Ultra and the intermediate S27+. The next year will be special for Samsung. If you're waiting for major changes to Galaxy smartphones, I recommend waiting until 2027.
