Driving a giant machine in the new game “gen Atlas” for Ico creators People Head

Remember, it took Ueda nine years to get here.

It's been a long time since The Last Guardian (the director of the last game of the Ueda Mansion) but after 10 years, Gen Atlas will continue the tendency of this influential game producer to create an unlikely two-person group in the game. The trailer shows the narrative of a cruel environment and (based on previous games) integration into the world itself.

We covered the project in 2024, when it had no title, but it would be called gen Atlas. We can see that the high-tech environment seems to be declining, with a large amount of scanning and some parasites. Problem? We have a lot of such people.

According to a press release, “the vast buildings are all over the plains, abandoned facilities and changing oceans. A number of ambitiously designed remains scattered over the surface of the Earth.”

Published by Epic Games, it will land on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (for the first time in the Ueda game). There is no date yet, but I will discourage enthusiasm. The Last Guardian has spent almost 10 years of development time.
