Even Realities' G2 smart glasses will keep an eye on your AI agent

Smart glasses maker Even Realities today revealed Terminal Mode, allowing you to keep tabs on your AI coding agent even when you're away from your desk. Developers will be able to monitor what their AI agent is doing in real time, responding to its requests for assistance from the comfort of their own face.

Essentially, if you own a pair of G2 smart glasses, you'll get a persistent icon telling you what the agent is doing. When he is thinking, listening, or doing, you can pay as little attention to him as you would like on a regular basis. But, when it requires your attention, you will be notified and, if you use the Even G2's control ring, you can instantly answer calls for help from your bots. Users can either choose from a pre-programmed response in the menu or activate voice recognition to bark a personalized instruction to your digital assistant.

I'm officially a fan of the Even Realities glasses, praising the G1 when I tested them last year. They may not be as feature-rich as, say, Meta's offerings, but they certainly excel at the things they were designed to do. My colleague Sam Rutherford, however, found the G2 a little rough around the edges when he tested the prototype last November.

Will Wang, CEO of Even Realities, says this mode is designed to free coders from the burden of keeping tabs on their computer or phone while the agent is active. Wang says this will allow people to stay connected to their agents "during a coffee break, a commute, a workout, or while running errands." And, presumably, when they need to focus better on finding and fixing errors in their other AI-generated code. Who knows, it might even allow developers to keep an eye on their bots before they unilaterally erase their entire production code.
