Authors

Square Enix is now also releasing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for the Nintendo Switch 2 and XBOX Series X and S. The game was previously released for the PC and PlayStation 5. All versions of the remake also have a new mode with 'cheats' to make progression easier.

The developer calls the feature "streamlined progression" because it makes it easy for players to get started in the game. With the options, players can give themselves infinite life or Magic Points, or always deal 9999 damage, for example. Players can always turn the cheats on or off. As far as we know, players will simply receive all the achievements that they would normally earn.

Another cheat mode has also been added to the game called New Game – Head Start. With this option, players start the game with a character of level 65. The maximum level is 70, which also makes the game considerably easier.

According to Square Enix, some players simply want to enjoy the story or get to know the game more easily. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth isn't the first game in the franchise with built-in cheats. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade previously received similar options.

Final, Remake, Rebirth?!

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second part in the planned remake trilogy of Final Fantasy VII from 1997. The first part was called Final Fantasy VII Remake. The Intergrade version is an enhanced bundle version of the standard Remake version. It is not yet clear what name the last part in the remake trilogy will receive.
