A large and beautiful smartphone

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is one of those massive phones that is difficult to handle with one hand. It still weighs 219 grams and measures 8.25 mm thick. A beautiful baby which nevertheless remains pleasant in the hand, in particular thanks to its flat edges and its matte fiberglass back.

At the front, we discover a large 6.83-inch screen which provides good visual comfort. The latter is Amoled with a definition of 2772 x 1280 pixels and a refresh rate which goes up to 144 Hz. We would have preferred that it was limited to 120 Hz and that it supported LTPO technology. We especially appreciated its brightness, and its colorimetry is rather well controlled.

Inexhaustible

This phone isn't so thick for nothing, since it includes a large 7,000 mAh battery. A real gap compared to the previous model which could count on a capacity of 5,500 mAh. It is therefore a durable device, capable of lasting several days, whatever the uses. Moreover, wired (100 W) and wireless (50 W) charging are fast.

To operate efficiently, Xiaomi has opted for the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. It is certainly less efficient than that of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, but the 17T Pro manages to run all Android applications without slowing down. For 3D games, it ensures a good level of performance. The only problem is that the temperature tends to rise quickly as soon as it is overused.

Finally, let's finish on the photo part. If the Xiaomi 17T Pro identically uses the configuration of the 15T Pro, signed Leica, the photos are very successful. Day or night, the smartphone performs brilliantly. Moreover, the ultra-wide-angle and the front sensor also generate quality images.

A few words about the Redmi Watch 6

The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 takes the look of the previous model, namely the design of the Apple Watch, but gains in finesse. The screen, for its part, is still Amoled, 2.07 inches with a definition of 432 x 514 pixels. It is the brightness that has been improved here, with a peak at 2,000 cd/m² to obtain better readability even in direct sunlight.

It obviously includes a battery of sensors allowing it to effectively monitor your fitness on a daily basis. We are entitled to an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an optical heart rate sensor, a pulse oximeter, a compass and even a GPS chip also compatible with Galileo, Glonass, Beidou and QZSS. And on the endurance side, the Chinese firm ensures up to 24 days of autonomy in classic use, 12 days in intensive mode or 7 days with activation of the always-on display.
