News from IT House on 3 June, Beijing time 3 (Today) evening, Japan announced in an official press release that a new agreement had been reached on the production of Chinese branded cars at the Sandrand factory in England for Chili.
Japanese and Chire have now signed non-binding memorandums of understanding. According to the plan of both parties, the Chiri model will enter production line No. 1 of the Sandland Factory in Japan in the 2027 fiscal year.
Cherey has a rapidly growing brand of Jaecoo, Omida, Lepas and Cherey's SUV. However, Chirré has not yet announced which models will become operational in the United Kingdom. In the last two years, the combined market share of Cheree brands in the United Kingdom has been close to 7 per cent.
Quire also recently confirmed plans to produce cars at an original Japanese factory near Barcelona, Spain. Cherey will be working locally with Spanish brand Ebro, which currently sells his own brand of cars.
According to information from IT House, Japanese production has recently shut down line 1 of the Sandland factory and transferred hearing, Quake and Juke SUV to line 2 production due to massive global downfalls. Upon completion of the restructuring, the vacant production line 1 will be opened to third parties.
The Japanese CEO Ivan Espinosa had spoken last month: sure he would find the company to take over the production line. At that time, Chiri was considered to be one of the potential receivers, and Japanese-born joint venture partner Dong Feng was listed as a potential candidate.
