Permanently delete your Facebook account from a smartphone
- Open the Facebook application.
- Click on the three-bar icon at the top right.
- Scroll down to Settings & Privacy and open this menu.
- Then select Settings.
- Click on See more in the Accounts Area.
- Tap on Personal information.
- Tap Account Ownership and Control.
- Go to Deactivation or deletion.
- Choose the Facebook account to delete.
- Check Delete account.
- Validate by pressing Continue then following the last instructions.
Permanently delete your Facebook account from a computer
- Log in to Facebook on your browser.
- Click on your profile image at the top right.
- Select Settings & Privacy from the drop-down menu.
- Then go to Settings.
- In the left column, click anywhere in the Accounts section.
- Go to Personal Information from the left column.
- Choose Account Ownership and Control.
- Choose Deactivation or deletion.
- Indicate the Facebook account to delete.
- Check Delete account.
- Continue the operation by clicking on the Continue button and then finalizing the procedure.
Undelete Facebook account
To cancel the deletion of your Facebook account, you must reconnect to the social network within 30 days after initiating the deletion procedure.
If you exceed this deadline, the deletion of your account will be permanent and irreversible.
