I finally purchased the Transmit MacOS app, and this 16x faster transfer speed is just the beginning

If you often transfer files with a remote server, this application is suitable for you.

Transmit can connect. SFTP, WebDAV and multiple cloud services.

The one-time cost of $45 is the availability of transmission services.

I upload and download documents from multiple services and servers all day. These documents range from small text files to larger video files. ♪ When I use ♪ It's not a good idea. And I prefer to use a tool to do this, that's Transmit.

Transmit is a fee-paying application (a one-time cost of $45, free of charge for seven days) whose functionality far exceeds that of most file transfer applications.

What makes the transmission so special? Besides having a well-designed, user-friendly GUI, it can be used in conjunction with more services you may have heard of. Transmit can play with Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Box, DeamObjects, Dropbox,Google Drive,Azure., OneDrive, OpenSack, RakSpace and any server that accepts FTP, SFTP or WebDAV protocols.

A warning in the server list is Go.Angle Drive support will soon be eliminated. If you have a transfer > Google cloud hard drive connection, it should be able to continue working. However, once Google Drive is no longer supported, you will not be able to add the Google Drive account. This is common for such applications: when Google changes, support usually breaks.

Apart from the Google Drive problem, Transmit is an excellent file mobile application. I used it mainly to move files around between the SFTP servers, and it was perfect. I can even use SSH key ID to authenticate the connection to the SFTP server, which is safer than using username/cipher.

Through the tab interface, I can open any number of connections as needed and send/receipt files all day without opening new tabs or re-establishing connections.

What makes Transit worth $45?

To me, Transmit has several features that make it worth $45 a one-time cost.

First, it starts with a well-designed GUI. Although Transmit has not yet been treated as a Liquid Glass, this is largely a complete MacOS application. Its design allows anyone to easily start connecting to the server. Of course, if you want to connect to a SFTP or WebDAV server, you need to know how to use these protocols, but it is very simple when connected to OneDrive etc.

Transmit also supports dragging files to or from the server, which is no harm. When connected, Navigates to the target folder and places the required files on or removes them from the server.

Another feature that really stands out for me is the sync option. It works as follows:

Navigates to local folders that contain files/folders to synchronize in the left pane.

Navigates to the target folder where the HotSync file/folder will be stored.

Click the Sync icon (an icon to the left of the " i " icon near the top centre).

Configure the syn options you want.

Run simulations to ensure their success.

If sync is successful, click Sync Files.

Once you handle this, the source and the target will be synchronized, which will be an excellent backup solution. You can use Transmit to synchronize data with remote servers on a regular basis. Given the ease of synchronization, this is entirely natural.

A good backup solution usually has value.

You can also create a collection folder so that you can quickly access the servers you often visit. To create the folder, all you have to do is connect to the relevant server, click the Server menu, choose Add, then name the server (in the popup window that appears), and then click Add.

Adds a collection folder and you can quickly access it from the server menu.

Finally, Transmit sends and receives files at impressive speeds, especially for larger files sent to services such as Amazon S3, you can see 16 times faster than other applications. I fully synchronized the file folders to the SFTP server on the home network, transmitted more than 4,000 files (some of which were larger video clips) and completed the process much faster than using other applications such as FileZilla.

How to get transfer

You can... Apple. App Store installs Transmit or can download the installer directly from the Transmit website. If you choose to install from the download, you need only double-click the downloaded file to start the installation. After opening the application, a probationary period of seven days begins.
