IFAC: In May of this year, 974,000 new energy vehicles were sold in the country, a decrease of 5 per cent.

According to information from IT House on 3 June, this afternoon, data released by the IFAC show that on 1-31 May, 974,000 cars were sold in the new energy market nationwide, down by 5 per cent from the same period last year, up by 15 per cent from the same period last month, and 3,732,000 were sold cumulatively since this year, down 14 per cent from 14 per cent; on 1-31 May, 136.5 million new energy were distributed by car manufacturers nationwide, up by 12 per cent from the same period last year, up 11 per cent from the same period last month, and cumulatively by 53.18 million since this year, up by 2 per cent.
From the data, IT House was informed that from 1 to 31 May, the national market for passenger cars had a retail penetration rate of 63 per cent of new energy sources; and from 1 to 31 May, the country had a wholesale penetration rate of new energy sources for passenger cars.
National production of pure fuel light vehicles in the first to fifth week of May was 535,000, a decrease of 45 per cent from the same period last year and 20 per cent from the same period last month; combined power and plug production in the first to fifth week of May was 37.99 million, a decrease of 17 per cent from the same period last year and an increase of 11 per cent from the same period last month.
In the first week of May, the national car market averaged 31,000 per day, down 26 per cent from the same period last May and up 26 per cent from the same period last month.
In the second week of May, the national car market averaged 51,000 per day, down 17 per cent from the same period last May and 43 per cent from the same period last month.
In the third week of May, the national car market averaged 39,000 daily, down 26 per cent from the same period last May and 7 per cent from the same period last month.
The national car market averaged 44,000 per day in the fourth week of May, down 26 per cent from the same period last May and 9 per cent from the same period last month.
In the fifth week of May, the national car market averaged 79,000 daily, down 13 per cent from the same period last May and 2 per cent from the same period last month.
