On June 4th, Kawazaki officially released 2027 KX327 and KX327X off-road motorcycles, marking Kawazaki's return to the area of development of two-way engines above 250cc after more than 20 years apart.
As a result of recent market demand recovery driven by vehicles such as KTM 250/300SX, Hoswana, GASGAS, Beta RX 2T and Yamaha YZ250, the launch of a brand-new vehicle model in Kawasaki reflects the continued popularity of two-strike motors in open off-road competitions, which are not subject to stringent restrictions.
The core of the new car lies in Kawasaki's first fuel jet 327cc water-cooled single-cylinder 2-slash engine, which is also the total power of the first completely new wave 2-slash engine developed by Kawasaki for over 20 years.
Using fuel jet systems and electronic control techniques, the engine is able to provide a more stable fuel supply at different altitudes and weather conditions and does not require cumbersome nozzle adjustments, compared to the traditional version of the carburetor.
Kawazaki claims that it carries a newly designed exhaust valve system, which, together with an optimized rectangular curve, provides a dynamic output that can easily be controlled from a very low turn-off to a medium, and avoids an overstretched power outburst from the old two-step engine.
On this occasion, Kawasaki simultaneously launched two different models. KX327 Site Expedition, equipped with a five-speed gearbox, with a focus on field track competition. KX327X is for wood lanes and endurance and carries a six-speed gearbox, one of which uses an ultra-low-tooth ratio to adapt to a low-speed technology segment, with a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel for impact resistance. Both versions are assigned to an electrical start-up system, with a switch in the left hand to switch to two power models and to provide a consistent and accurate sense of manipulation using hydraulic fusion.
With regard to the frame, the engine is fixed on the aluminum alloy frame from the four-strike KX450F design, which is made of a combination of exercise, squeeze and casting aluminium parts.
Thanks to the simple and light structure of the two-strike engine itself, KX327 has a total dry weight of approximately 106 kg, which is equivalent to the four-strike model of the 250cc level of Kawasaki.
While KX327X is equipped with additional equipment such as six-speed transmission vans, handguards, thicker sub-engine panels, co-brands and backbrand protection covers, the full weight data published by Kawasaki official are the same as the standard version. KX327X is also equipped with a larger capacity of 2.25 gallons (approximately 8.5 litres) of semi-transparent tanks to enable riders to observe the remaining quantities.
The suspension system uses a 48mm air-oil separation fork-in-hand, which supports compression and bullet-back-retarded neon regulation; it is subsequently hanged as a Kawazaki Uni-Trak multi-combar structure, with independent high-speed and low-speed compressor-retarded neon, echo-retardable and preload-retardation.
The brake system uses Nissin card clippers, the former 270 mm drive, and the latter 240 mm drive. In human engineering, both models provide four vehicle handles and two tread positions that can be adjusted to the different rider ' s posture.
In addition, vehicles support connectivity through the RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX2 mobile phone application in Kawasaki, which provides access to vehicle settings, cycling logs and maintenance alerts.
In the United States market, the recommended retail price of section 2027 KX327 is US$ 9099 (IT House Note: The current exchange rate is approximately RMB 61767), and KX327X is US$ 9699 (the current exchange rate is approximately RMB 65840) and delivery is expected to commence at the end of 2026.
On the Japanese market, the sale price of KX327X is 1 889 000 yen (the current exchange rate is approximately 46201 yuan), which is expected to be sold around the winter of 2026. Kawazaki has not yet published the specific listing times and prices of this series of vehicles in European and other markets.
