On June 4th, a message from IT House, Alex Katouzian, General Manager of the Intel Client Computers Department, responded to Tweakers at the 2026 Taipei International Computer Fair.GPU It remains a “super-important” component of the company's PC product line.
Katouzian says, "GPU is a super-important part of our PC product line. If you look at the field of games, whether it's a moving or a PC end, it's generating huge income. We want to ensure that we play an important role.”
Now, our GPU core market has a very good resonance. Game players and game engine developers are working with us. The examples you see on stage today are only the beginning. I think we'll continue along this path.
Intel formally entered the desktop independent graphic card market through the Arc Alchemist series in 2022, but primary-generation products were plagued by driving problems. The second generation of Battlemage products showed a marked improvement, but only the Arc B580 and B570 models were presented to game players.
Tweakers stated that they learned last year from multiple sources that Arc B770, originally planned to be released by the end of 2025, but now it appears that B770 is more likely to have been cancelled. Intel has not confirmed this.
At the same time, recent GPU activities in Intel have shifted to the Arc Identification and AI professional card field, such as the recently released Arc G3 and Arc G3 Express processors for game masters.
Intel's new CEO Chen Li-Wu, known for his expertise in streamlining, has abolished 25,000 posts and closed down the car business since taking office. In his first keynote address, he indicated that he would be detached from Intel's “non-core operations”. But he said early this year that he would continue to make GPUs.
In January of this year, Intel hired a senior member of Chase and ATi, Eric Demers, to head the new GPU business, but at that time mentioned that he would focus on AI products. IT House noted that the current sale price of B60 Dual 48G Turbo in Kyoto is USD 12999, while Arc Pro B70 brands vary between USD 9999 and USD 12999.
In 2026, the government subsidy for digital household electricity continued, and the IT home provided a consolidated national voucher address to collect the digital household electricity.
