Google recently implemented a version called Gemini 3.5 Flash Low in Antigravity. The initial goal was to limit excessive token generation for simple programming tasks.
However, this modification resulted in a decline in the quality of the responses and their consistency as the complexity increased.
An update to fix weaknesses in Gemini 3.5 Flash
To address this problem, the Google DeepMind teams have deployed a refreshed version of this model.
Varun Mohan, director at Google DeepMind in charge of Antigravity, made the information official about X. According to his statements, this new iteration “boasts much less and has higher endurance on more difficult tasks”.
To allow all developers and users to immediately test these fixes, Google has applied a general commercial gesture. All consumption counters have been reset, releasing restrictions accumulated over the current period.
Low, medium, high, what's the difference?
With Gemini Flash 3.5, Google introduced a three-tier system to optimize the use of tokens depending on the complexity of the tasks:
Flash has a blind spot. He is excellent at coding but regresses on complex reasoning. This is why Gemini 3.5 Pro will arrive in June 2026. It will be able to handle the most demanding tasks and above all will be able to bridge the reasoning gap that Flash does not cover.
