Joo Hae/Macau Xian Crossroads launched a one-stop "swipe" service with 229,000 "smart clearance" vehicles in the first month

On June 7th, news from the IT House, the "Union One Stop" driveway at Chuhai/Macau's Xinjiang crossing was implemented on May 7th with "Intelligent Customs clearance" and registered drivers were able to travel quickly to reduce traditional customs clearances by using physical documents, etc.

According to the Voice of the Great Bay Region, as of 7 June, in the first month of the launch of the joint one-stop “face-washing” smart-passing service, the number of vehicles aggregating 388,000 through the combined one-stop drive was over 229,000, representing 59.1 per cent of the total number of vehicles passing, an increase of 31.5 per cent over the circular growth of April. More than half of the cross-border owners opt for smart customs clearance services, and cross-border traffic runs in a smooth and orderly manner.

It was explained that for the first time, drivers were required to submit their valid entry/exit documents at a “joint one-stop” drive and complete fingerprint and face-to-face matching, and to choose the “consent” option after reading the “intelligence clearance” registration statement for a joint one-stop drive, which would allow the use of “intelligence clearance” at the next drive-in/entry.

In the future, the departments concerned will continue to focus on the strategic positioning of the “Tranquoise+Macau”, deepen the construction of smart ports, explore easier and more efficient customs clearance models, facilitate the development of Macao residents' lives and employment in the Zone, and make new contributions to the development of Qiang-Ou's integrated quality.
