Lian Li showed off a series of new cabinets in Taipei this week. This includes the Lancool 4, a case with a glass front panel. There are holes in it, which are intended to supply air to the three 140mm fans. It will release later in Q3 for $130.
The Lancool 4 has a curved glass front, in which the three cut-outs are neatly concealed. The holes in the glass are intended to supply air to the 140mm fans. Lian Li supplies three of those fans, standard with Arb LEDs. There is also some mesh in front of the holes to keep dust out.
The bottom of the case also stands out. The built-in PSU shroud can accommodate up to four 3.5" HDDs, but also offers space for two optional extra fans and even an 8.8" LCD, although these are not included.
The Lancool 4 also offers space for ATX motherboards and can also handle 'cableless' boards, such as ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero and Gigabyte Project Stealth. The case will be available in black and white in the third quarter. The recommended retail price will be $130, although the euro price is not yet known.
Lancool 207XL with striking GPU fans
Lian Li also comes with another cabinet in the Lancool series: the 207XL. This one stands out mainly because of its choice of fans: Lian Li installs two crossflow fans at the bottom of this cabinet. These are narrow, elongated fans that suck in air from the sides and blow it out.
Due to their thin design, they take up relatively little space, making them easier to fit at the bottom of the cabinet. The crossflow fans are mainly intended to provide the installed video card with cool air. The Lancool 207XL will be released in the fourth quarter for $110.
The popular O11 series is also getting an update
Lian Li also showed a new cabinet in the O11D series. The O11D RGB V2 will be released in the fourth quarter for $170. This cabinet stands out because of its AIO compartment on the side. According to Lian Li, the intake and exhaust airflow are separated, which should ensure better temperatures.
The case also has a sliding motherboard tray with support for ATX motherboards and smaller, possibly with power connections at the back. At the bottom of the case there is a mounting point for fans that blow air to the GPU. This part is slightly curved so that the cool air can also reach vertically mounted video cards.
B4-MATX gets optional wooden panels again
Finally, a new compact chassis was on display on the Computex show floor in Taipei. This is a new collaboration between Lian Li and DAN Cases: the B4-MATX. The two companies previously made an A4-MATX.
The new case again has wooden fronts, although cheaper variants with mesh panels are also available. Despite its relatively compact capacity of 21.3 liters, this housing supports 360mm AIO water coolers and video cards of up to 358mm. The case also supports vertical and the more traditional horizontal layouts on the inside. It will be released on June 26 for prices between $70 and $90.
