It is reported thatMeta. Staff will be allowed 30 minutes off of their tracking program

When staff members need to “check some personal matters”, they can suspend their eyes.

Meta has made some small concessions in its extremely anti-Utopian programme to track mouse clicks and key-button operations on behalf of artificial intelligence training. According to The Information, the company has made a number of modifications to a controversial project, internally known as the Model Capacity Plan (MCI).

In a memorandum, the company informed its employees that Meta now plans to allow employees to “suspension” for 30 minutes when they need to “check their personal data”. Some employees may also request a complete withdrawal from the scheme, but this is limited to remote staff with bandwidth problems, personnel handling “sensitive” materials and those who often work in spaces where laptops cannot easily connect to power.

In other words, it sounds like the vast majority of Meta employees still need to track and document (almost) every move in the name of improving the Meta artificial intelligence model. However, Reuters reported that the company did indicate that it had improved the use of the software batteries to resolve complaints from some employees. The company faced employee protests over the MCI programme, which was announced last month, when it will dismiss 8,000 employees and reposition thousands of employees to positions focused on artificial intelligence.

Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg has recently defended the scheme to staff, telling them that “watching people who are really smart to do things” is the best way to quickly improve artificial intelligence models. “The average intelligence of the company's employees is significantly higher than the average of the tasks performed.”

“All data will not be used to see what people do, monitor, track performance or similar things. It's just that we use it to input a lot of content into artificial intelligence models so that it can understand how smart people use computers to do their job. I think it would be a very big advantage if we could do this.” He added that, if it worked, “we might do more similar things in the future”.
