Information from IT House on 3 June indicates that with the increasing capacity of AI Smart, an increasing number of enterprises are beginning to deploy it to applications, business processes and products. At the same time, however, how to ensure that AI ' s intelligent body always fulfils its mandate as expected in different environments is a new challenge for businesses.
At the Build 2026 Congress, which opened today, Microsoft announced an open-source standard called Agent Control Speculation (ACS, Smart Body Control Code), which seeks to provide developers with a more uniform and fine-particle AI Smart Behaviour Control.
Microsoft states that ACS allows the development team, the compliance team and the security team to work together to develop the strategic rules that intelligent bodies need to follow. These rules may specify which operations are permitted by an intelligent body, which operations are prohibited from being performed, which acts are subject to manual approval and which evidence is required to be recorded for subsequent audit.
It was explained that when AI intelligents perform their tasks, ACS checks these policy documents at multiple “stop points” to ensure that they remain within established limits.
Microsoft points out that the current way in which developers control the behaviour of AI intelligent bodies is fragmented. As there is an increasing number of cases of chain failure due to the misuse or accidental operation of AI workflows, developers usually limit smart body behaviour by using system hints, custom check logic in applications, or using classification models to screen input and output content. IT House noted that while these methods are also useful, they often lead to control mechanisms being dispersed among different components, which are not conducive to audit or re-use between different frameworks, interfaces and systems.
ACS aims to integrate these controls. Microsoft indicates that this instruction enables strategic checks to be performed at multiple stages of the AI smart workflow, including before receiving input, before calling the tool, after the tool returns the result and before sending the final response to the user.
According to the policy setup, the system allows for the execution of an operation, prevents it directly, dissensitizes sensitive information or requires manual approval before it can be continued.
In addition to basic policy controls, developers can also integrate into the ACS classification, classify input and output content, predict results or determine how smarts respond; they can also access large-language models (ACS)LLM) The model is used as a policy “tribunal” by means of a hint; it also adds to the inspection logic for tool calls, tool selection, input accuracy, output usage and final response content.
Microsoft indicated that since these strategies could be defined in a single document, they could be deployed in packaged with AI smarts. This means that a set of security strategies can move between different frameworks and operating environments with intelligence, without the need to duplicate configurations, thus increasing the coherence of governance capacity.
ACS Current SDK Format release and support for multiple mainstream AI smarts development frameworks and tools, including Langchain,OpenAI Agens SDK,Anthropic Agents SDK, AutoGen, Crewai, Semantic Kernel, and MCP Tool ecology etc.
