News from IT House June 3rd, Microsoft is now in place. Microsoft Web IQ service, essentially a search for AI intelligence APII don't know.
Microsoft indicated in Microsoft Build 2026 that Web IQ could help the AI tool connect to the Internet and access various information resources. However, specific ways of working differ from traditional, human-oriented search engines.
Microsoft Search and AI Sector President Jordi Ribas, in an interview with the media CNET, stated that Web IQ was a solution for the AI smart body, providing context information, web files, news, pictures and video, and allowing the AI smart body to create semantics (IT House Note: grounding).
Although AI does not search for information in the same way as humans, Microsoft relies on Bing ' s accumulated experience over the years to build Web IQ.
Ribas said: “We have made full use of all the capabilities that must have been in place over the past two decades, while at the same time re-engaging the entire architecture from the bottom to ensure that the tool provides a tailored search for AI intelligence.”
The biggest difference between human search and AI intelligence search is the way information is presented. For humans, the search engine needs to optimize the sorting of the search results according to the intent of the user; for AI intelligence, it needs only a comprehensive and highly condensed information page to deconstruct without excessive consumption of Token.
Web IQ must therefore be able to quickly provide high-quality search results and return information in a compact form.
Ribas revealed that Web IQ has industry-led search quality, Token efficiency and response delays. Of these, 95 per cent were able to be responded to in 165 milliseconds, while at the same time they were prominent in the efficiency of Token. Microsoft claims that it is about 2.5 times faster than other similar products on the market.
At present, Web IQ API has been used for Microsoft's own AI product Copilot, and OpenAI Under the flag ChatGPTI don't know. Other companies will be using the system in the future, but Rivas is currently unable to disclose a specific list.
