On June 3rd, Microsoft announced today at the Build 2026 Developer's Congress a project Solara operating system for AI intelligents and synchronized the display of two conceptual devices.
According to them, Project Solara is not based on WindowsIt's based on... Android Up.
Microsoft also displayed two conceptual devices at the Congress, the desktop terminal (IT House Note: Desk Concept) and the smart breast card (Budge Concept). The former looks like the Amazon Echo Show, Google Nest Hub, and so on. Users can identify the locking device through human faces and directly access various AI smart bodies.
Budge Concept, on the other hand, is a dressable device that looks like a workplate, a chestplate, etc. The body is equipped with a camera and a fingerprint recognition sensor to support a 5G connection, and the user can activate the AI smart body by pressing the device.
Microsoft performed a video of Badge Concept's use on site: the user started recording the conversation after clicking on the device's button, and the system immediately generated a transcription. The body cam also allows the AI intelligence to see what's in front of the user, thus better integrating the environment to help.
Microsoft currently has no plans to personally release the two items of equipment. These two conceptual products will exist as “reference design” on which other hardware manufacturers will base their design on real commercial products.
Android? Microsoft states that “Project Solara” uses a home-made Android - Microsoft equipment eco-platform.Microsoft This post is part of our special coverage Global Voices 2011. Such systems can operate on smaller, less functional equipment while retaining the safety and management functions required by the enterprise IT sector.
Microsoft disclosed that the scheme was still in its early stages and that pilot hardware projects had been initiated by manufacturers such as Best Buy, AccuWeather, CVS Health and Target.
