Microsoft version of lobster scout release, Depth integration Outlook, OneDrive etc. 365 Ecology

News from IT House, June 3, Microsoft launched its own "OpenClaw" product today during the Build 2026 Conference. Microsoft Scoout, all-weather AI Assistant, integrated with Outlook, OneDrive and Teams 365 ecological depths.

According to Microsoft, Scott is the company's first "real personal assistant." It monitors local traffic and user schedules and recommends the best departure time for travel, school attendance or appointment. Working more closely with real people, it is able to learn more about what users value most by reading Teams chat records, minutes of meetings and e-mail content and to proactively present the corresponding information.

IT House notes that Scout can also help users with scheduling, reimbursement of costs, and can also call draft mail, or even call users on its own initiative, called “a completely different AI from chat robots”.

There are 300 Microsoft employees in use, and engineers use it to arrange meetings, process text and book travel. Microsoft found that the main objective of many people using Scout was to better manage themselves and manage their work and personal lives.

It is worth noting that Microsoft is currently pursuing a relatively cautious outreach strategy for Scott. This week, desktop previews will be made available only to United States Frontier clients, and in the next few months, preview versions with limited access to a small number of clients will eventually turn Scott into a fully clouded software.

As to how to deal with security issues, Microsoft Vice President Omar Shahine said in an interview with the media: “We have created an exclusive access process for OpenClaw to protect against supply chain risks and compatibility damage. We run OpenClaw in a cloud sandbox environment and treat OpenClaw as an untrustworthy component, so it will not hold any confidential information and will not have direct access to your 365 data."
