Microsoft wants to make users addict to their own intelligence. CEO Nadra denies it.

News from IT House June 6, Microsoft released Project Solara on Build 2026, jointly with Chase. Project Solara is the primary "Intelligence First Count" where the system operates inside Agent Shell and can dynamically load and adjust several cloud-based AI smarts.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadra says that AI is no longer an AI assistant. “The real platform shift is taking place. We are moving from building operating systems and equipment for applications to building operating systems and equipment for intelligent bodies.”

However, an internal document was controversial at a time when Microsoft was completely turning to AI. According to the IT House, “404 Media” sources described the Microsoft once project as “addiction” for new AI assistants.

According to information obtained by The Information, Nadra denied this statement. “I don't know what this document is or who is writing and divulging this nonsense”.

Media then made a different statement: “The document we are reporting is not a random one. As we wrote at the time, this strategy paper was written by Microsoft executives Omar Shahine, Jakob Werner and some kind of AI writing tool. This information is included in our original report and can be easily seen by Nadra.”

A Microsoft speaker said: “Scout is about helping people to do their job more effectively, not encouraging dependency. Our goal is not to increase screen time, but to return more time to users.”

Nadra is even more blunt: "This is definitely not our goal! If anything different, we do the opposite. We want to ensure that AI empowers human efforts to add real value to human activities and broad economic growth! We should ensure that this is clearly understood by the team. Not sure what this document is or who's writing and divulging this nonsense! They may be able to work elsewhere.”

It is not yet possible to judge what is and what is not, but AI is undoubtedly a sensitive and controversial subject for most people. In addition to privacy and security concerns, there are concerns that AI may place almost all white collar jobs at risk of being replaced within the next 18 months.
