According to IT House, on June 6, as the DRAM market continues to be affected by price increases, there are many users who wish to store it in Long Sing, hoping to see the dDR5 memory price down at the expense of their own.
However, during Computex 2026, a number of memory model manufacturers disclosed to Wccftech that the purchase price of DDR5 particles stored in long-stamps was not as low as it was expected from the outside world, and that they were not as high as Samsung, SK Hercules, and American Light products and did not have a clear price advantage.
It was noted that long-stamp storage was currently the most competitive, not from low prices but from supply capacity. As the company has not been robbed of large-scale production capacity by AI, it has been able to invest more in traditional DRAM markets.
Several memory module manufacturers also indicated that validation tests were being conducted for the use of long-duration DDR5 particles. However, these products were initially used primarily for entry-level markets and will be prioritized for sale to the Chinese market. With the subsequent increase in particle quality and product maturity, the products are expected to gradually enter the global market supply system.
In addition to the product itself, there are also references to differences in business strategies for the storage of long-stamps. It was described that some international storage plants currently required clients to pay in advance to ensure additional supply levels. In contrast, long-stamp storage does not currently impose similar conditions on customers and allows for greater flexibility in order organization and supply.
The IT House previously reported that bloggers had discovered that the latest batch of the pirate ship Vengeance DDR5 memory contained long-stamped DRAM particles, with the specification DDR5-6000, time series 36-44-44-96, voltage 1.35V, which was the first time that long-stamp particles had been used in overseas brands.
