NZXT is releasing a new version of last year's H6 case. The new model has a number of innovations compared to the previous model, including the fact that the cables can all be concealed at the back. There is also a mount in the case to support larger and heavier GPUs and the side panels have been adjusted.
NZXT presents the new model during Computex. This is a modified variant of the existing H6 Flow, which was released last year and about which Tweakers previously wrote a review. In addition to the standard H6, a variant with RGB+ lighting will also be released.
There are a few external changes to the new H6. Firstly, the glass on the side and front is one curved glass panel, rather than having a glass front and side panel on the case. The mesh panel on the other side is also different. That has become one whole.
The case can also handle concepts such as ASUS' BTF, Gigabytes Stealth and MSI's Project Zero, where cables such as power connections can be concealed at the back.
The H6 is a housing with two compartments: one for the power supply and cable management and the other for the other components. As in the previous model, it can fit a maximum of ten 120mm fans. The sloping front of the cabinet is intended for exactly that purpose. Fans can be mounted in an oblique manner for better airflow.
A maximum AIO cooler of 360mm fits in the housing. The new H6 can also accommodate GPUs of up to 390mm. NZXT also supplies a support attachment with the new model for large (read: heavy) video cards, so that they do not collapse too much. According to NZXT, that part is incorporated into the chassis.
The basic model of the H6 is supplied without fans. There will also be an RGB+ model, which does come with fans. Those are, of course, RGB fans. This concerns two F360 fans for the air intake and an F120 fan in the rear. The RGB model also comes with a 'Control Hub' that allows users to adjust the lighting and fan speed.
The two cases will be available immediately in June and will cost $99 or $199. That is converted and including VAT 103 or 206 euros.
