They share a last name and operating system, but little else. That can be summarized as much as possible if we compare the new Oppo Find For this reason, we are going to put them side by side and analyze how both high-end devices differ.

- Technical sheet with the main differences between the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra
Both devices are great, although each in their own way. The camera modules of the two phones stand out, but the Find X9 Ultra is the one that takes the cake there. It is a bulky phone, one of those that has an adaptation period if you have never had a phone that big. They are more than 8.5 millimeters thick, a figure that is somewhat far from the 7.9 millimeters that the Samsung mobile has. There are also differences in weight: 235 grams for the OPPO compared to 214 for its rival.
Now let's move on to the screens. Both are very large (we leave you the exact figures in the table at the end of this article), but the important differences go beyond the diagonal. The Oppo mobile has a refresh rate of 144 Hz, higher than the 120 Hz that the S26 Ultra has. This implies greater fluidity that we will notice when reading, playing or moving between apps. Although yes: the difference there is not as big as when you go from 60 to 120 Hz.
On the other hand, Samsung's phone debuts the privacy screen this year. It is a technology that, simply put, prevents anyone from gossiping about our cell phone. It is very customizable and can be activated both for the entire screen and just for notifications. It is the first manufacturer to have this technology. And well, let's not forget the S-Pen, something that no other mobile phone has either.
At the level of power and performance, honors for both. Both phones have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 inside, the best Android processor available right now. It is true that the Galaxy has a 'tuned' version of it (hence the tagline 'for Galaxy'), but in practice it is not going to offer a huge leap. They are two phones that have what it takes to offer a very fluid experience, even with the most demanding video games.
And what happens with RAM? Both phones start at 12 GB, something quite curious if we take into account that the Oppo Find X9 Pro, which is a step below its older brother, has 16 GB of RAM. It is worth mentioning that the Samsung mobile has these 16 GB if we go for its model with 1 TB of storage.
We leave the small differences behind and start with the big ones. In the battery of both phones we find a huge difference in mAh: 7,050 mAh of the Find X9 Ultra compared to 5,000 mAh of the S26 Ultra. This is because Oppo uses silicon-carbon, a technology that allows batteries with greater energy density to be mounted without making them huge.
Many factors come into play when talking about autonomy (the type of use we give it, how the mobile is optimized, etc.), but it is such a big difference that it means that the Find X9 Ultra can easily provide 2 days of battery life and the Samsung cannot. And what about fast charging? That, although the S26 Ultra has improved its wired charging to 65 W, it falls behind the Oppo's 100 W. And be careful with wireless charging: Oppo's reaches up to 50 W.
All Android manufacturers have been putting their efforts at the software level and Oppo is no exception. ColorOS 16 is a good skin based on Android 16 with many customization options and AI-based tools like image eraser or translator. Now, as with other Chinese manufacturers, this operating system is loaded with bloatware.
On the other hand, we have One UI 8.5, a Samsung layer that is also based on Android 16. Samsung has been betting a lot on its software for some years now and this new version comes with improvements and changes such as Now Nudge or an audio eraser that works with apps like YouTube. It also has several of its own apps installed, among which SmartThings stands out, with which you can integrate your other Samsung devices to have them all well controlled.
Small mention of the update policy of both companies. They are two high-end phones and there are many users who, by making an investment as large as the one required by both, want their mobile phone to last for many years. No problem there: Oppo offers five years of updates for the operating system and six years of security updates. Samsung ups the ante to seven years.
As already happened to us in the comparison we made between the two new Vivo phones, the differences between the cameras of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and the Galaxy S26 Ultra can easily be what makes you choose one or the other. Both systems are quite interesting and, above all, versatile. We leave you as a summary of its specifications so that you have them at hand:
Oppo Find X9 Ultra
- Main: 200 MP, f/1.5, 23 mm, 1/1.12", PDAF, OIS
- 200 Mpx telephoto: f/2.2, 70 mm, 1/1.28", PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom
- 50 Mpx telephoto: f/3.5, 230 mm, 1/2.75", PDAF, OIS, 10x optical zoom
- Wide angle: 50 MP, f/2.0, 14 mm, 123˚, 1/1.95", PDAF.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
- Main: 200 MP, f/1.4, 23 mm, 0.6µm, PDAF, OIS.
- 10 Mpx telephoto: f/2.4, 67 mm, 1/3.94", 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom.
- 50 Mpx telephoto: f/2.9, 111 mm, 1/2.52", 0.7µm, PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom.
- Wide angle: 50 MP, f/1.9, 120˚, 1/2.5", 0.7µm, dual pixel PDAF.
We have not yet been able to analyze the new Oppo mobile, but it is quite obvious that the four-camera system that both devices have is going to give us outstanding results, both in photography and video. The cameras that the Galaxy S26 Ultra has are very similar to those that the Galaxy S25 Ultra already had. That tells us that it is a versatile mobile phone and that it is ideal for those users who like to “shoot quickly” and not stop to touch settings (which it has if you want, of course).
Now, Oppo's mobile goes one step further. The Find X9 Pro already got a mark in the photographic section in its analysis and this one is above in specifications. If you are one of those looking for a great camera, this mobile, with its alliance with Hasselblad, may be the one for you because it is a worthy candidate to be one of the best photographic mobiles of 2026. Basic, because to that we must add its photographic kit.
This comes, in addition to a protective case with a physical button to take photos, a 300 mm Hasselblad teleconverter. It is quite large and you will not always want to carry it with you, but in exchange it will allow you to take photographs more typical of a professional camera. Now comes the bad thing: the kit costs 599 euros.
Finally, there is the issue of price. These two phones are the best that these manufacturers have right now, so obviously they are not two cheap phones. Samsung's mobile starting price is 1,449 euros, while the Oppo Find X9 Ultra starts at a little more, specifically 1,699 euros.
Now, several aspects to take into account. The passage of time is the best ally that our wallet can have when buying a mobile phone, since it makes offers begin to appear. The Samsung mobile arrived in stores more than a month and a half ago, while the Chinese manufacturer's is fresh out of the oven right now.
In addition to this, there is also the issue of Oppo's mobile photography kit. It is true that in the official store of this manufacturer we could get the kit (and other devices) for free when pre-purchasing the Find X9 Ultra, but it is no longer available. So, if we want, we will have no choice but to buy it separately. The good news? Which is a completely optional thing, something that does not happen, for example, with the Vivo X300 Ultra.
It's the most difficult part: choosing one. They are two very good Android devices, one of the best we can buy right now. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is a continuous device that has its main strengths in its privacy screen and the good work of its software. The Find X9 Ultra, on the other hand, is the best we can buy at a photographic level right now.
Let's look a little more closely at the strengths that each one has.
The new Oppo mobile has everything to be in the pool for one of the best mobiles of 2026. Its photographic section is impressive, but it is not the only thing that makes it worth it. Let's see its strong points:
- With or without a photography kit, the best for taking photos and videos: its four-camera system is not only versatile, but is capable of taking photos (or recording video) at a very high level. And if you add the photography kit, you almost have a professional camera.
- It has boring mAh and very high fast charging: the silicon-carbon makes it have a battery with much more capacity than the Samsung mobile. With 100 W fast charging, too.
- With 512 GB of storage, they cost almost the same: it is true that its rival starts at a lower price, but with 512 GB of storage it has a similar price.
Samsung has launched a very continuous mobile phone, for good and bad. It is a very good phone that falls behind the Oppo in certain points, but still has several elements that make it worth it (a lot):
- One of the best screens out there: the privacy screen does nothing other than improve one of the best mobile screens there is. Anti-reflective treatment, key.
- One of the best there is at the software level: One UI 8.5 is a very versatile, configurable custom layer with many options. At the level of artificial intelligence it also performs very well.
- Its photographic section remains insurance: it does not reach the level of some of its Chinese rivals, but it is still a versatile system that is more than enough for many users.
