While the majority of the Summer Game Festival is taking place on the weekend, Sony will bring things up with his next State of Play showcase, which will be broadcast on June 2 at 17:00 ET. It comes at a crucial time for the PlayStation brand: The PS5 becomes more and more expensive and Sony's great bet on live service games has largely failed. A good performance at SGF will not repair everything, but he could help show that PlayStation is on the right track.

Sony, for its part, says that his latest state of play will include “more than 60 minutes of updates, announcements and gameplay revelations from top studios from all over the world”. The only confirmed part of the event programme is Wolverine from Spider-Man developer Insomniac, whose publication is scheduled for September. But given the length of the stream, there will be much more details. Maybe we can see the recently announced third extension for The Witcher 3 or the long-awaited last part of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy or something more from Intergalactic, the next major project of The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog. It is also likely that the event will give an insight into the uncertain future of the marathon.
