PNY becomes first manufacturer to sell RTX 5090 with modular LYNK+ water cooler

Authors

PNY will release an RTX 5090 video card with a LYNK+ water cooler. The LYNK+ system is modular, so users can, for example, also cool the CPU within the same loop. As far as we know, the CPU cooling block required for this is not yet available.

The RTX 5090 card is basically an all-in-one water cooler with radiator, but compatible with the LYNK+ ecosystem. This means that customers can expand the water cooler loop with additional radiators or a CPU cooling block. LYNK+ uses its own tubes with a click system and pre-filled water coolers, the company explained at the Computex trade fair last year.

It is the first time that a video card manufacturer has collaborated with LYNK+. Previously, customers had to purchase a LYNK+ heatsink separately and mount it on their video card, at the risk of voiding their card's warranty.

LYNK+ also sells video cards from other manufacturers outside the Netherlands and Belgium, where LYNK+ installs the cooling block itself and the German company therefore becomes responsible for the warranty. The company also sells prebuilt PCs with LYNK+ components in Germany and Finland.

At the moment, LYNK+ only sells a 360mm radiator module for 199.90 euros and an RTX 5090 cooling block for 179.90 euros. There is no CPU cooling block yet, so the modular part of the concept does not seem to offer much added value. LYNK+ wants to offer more products this year, including CPU cooling blocks. It is not known how much the PNY video card with LYNK+ water cooler will cost and when it will be released.
