For those who train early, finish late, or go running when the rain falls, the Polar Vantage M3 becomes a companion in arms. It’s a watch made for people who aren’t looking to motivate themselves, just to go further. And with the current promotion, it even does a little good for the wallet by losing 100 euros of its base price.
The strong points of the Polar Vantage M3
- Complete biological monitoring (ECG, SpO2, temperature, heart rate)
- Dual-frequency GPS and offline mapping
- Solid battery life of up to 30 hours in sport mode
Instead of 399 euros at launch, the Polar Vantage M3 is now available on sale for 299 euros at Decathlon.

A concentrate of technology in 53 grams
Beneath its minimalist appearance, the Polar Vantage M3 hides a beautiful display. The 3.25 cm AMOLED screen is bright, even in direct sunlight, protected by Gorilla Glass 3 that resists scratches and drops. The watch weighs barely 53 g, can be forgotten during the race, and remains waterproof up to 50 meters.
Polar has integrated its Elixir technology, a biometric suite that records everything that matters: ECG, SpO₂, skin temperature, heart rate... All in real time. This data makes it possible to track recovery, sleep, and even the menstrual cycle.
But this precision comes at a price: we noticed during our test that the cardio sensor is not always perfect at high intensity. On certain training sessions, he stalls, the kind of detail that annoys purists. The interface seems stuck ten years in the past: austere, functional, but not really sexy.
A watch for sport, not for show
The dual-frequency GPS is one of the big strong points. Whether trail running, hiking or urban running, the Polar Vantage M3 keeps track. Komoot is directly integrated to plan routes and follow them, even without a network, thanks to offline mapping. A real, reliable outdoor watch that won't get lost in menus or in the forest.
Its autonomy reflects the image of the product: solid. Thirty hours in sports mode, seven days in connected watch mode. Enough to align the sessions without thinking about the shot. On the other hand, don't expect to make it a complete smartwatch: no music (except the control), no third-party applications, and somewhat inconsistent notification management. This is not a watch for showing off, it's a watch for training.
Finally, with more than 150 integrated sports profiles, functions like Training Load Pro or Running Index, and Nightly Recharge recovery monitoring, the Vantage M3 is clearly aimed at those obsessed with detail.
