News from IT House 6 June, video game media VGC released today (6 June) in Boven, reporting that Maverick Games had a first full preview of the first game of Clutch, a new public racing car at the 2026 Summer Festival.
IT House Note: Maverick Games was created by a number of former developers of the Game Extreme Speed: Horizon, with a core membership of the creative director Mike Brown.
With regard to the play scene, Clutch placed the stage in Riviera, France, and the overall structure was based on the dual design of “regular day-time games plus night-time street races”.
The player will follow Theo and Cass Martial's story, participating in the famous event Riviera 1000 during the day, and getting involved in the underground race ring called Midnight Conventionive at night.
As far as role-setting is concerned, Clutch does not just want to do a car racing game at a simple speed. Theo and Cass were adopted by a former R1K star driver, Ludo Martial, and eventually took R1K seats after the country's rough growth.
Officially, “thousands of miles” of roads and topography can be explored within the game, covering diverse areas such as coastal roads and urban streets, as well as supporting systems such as overt pursuit, escape, vehicle technology and deep retrofitting. The IT House attached the following video of the game:
Technological performance is another major focus beyond this announcement. Mike Brown stated that Clutch was one of the longest-rounded projects he had ever been involved in, and therefore the team had more time to invest in key details.
The game is based on custom version Unreal Engineering 5 (False Engine 5) and the team wants to be more precise in terms of the face of the car, paint particles, interior stitches and tire wear.
