Renewed Assassin cooler from DeepCool has a new vapor chamber and 4.5" display

Authors

DeepCool comes with several new coolers. At the Computex fair, models were on display such as a high-end cooler called Assassin that has a screen and a remarkably large vapor chamber as a cooling block, and an AIO cooler with a curved screen.

DeepCool will announce these models during the Computex fair. Tweakers spotted the coolers on the exhibition floor. The most striking cooler is the Assassin V Vision, the high-end model for workstations. It has a new, large vapor chamber that should provide extra cooling. The model is the successor to the Assassin IV and, according to DeepCool, is about eight percent smaller and five percent lighter, but it has better performance due to the new chamber.

In addition to the vapor chamber, it is mainly the screen on the cooler that attracts attention - something that DeepCool consciously does. "Designed to be viewed," the company writes about the cooler. It is a 4.5" LCD screen on which users can see, for example, how fast the fan is spinning.

AK700s also get new vapor chamber

The new chamber is called VC 2.0 and that technology is also in the AK700 VC, another cooler that the company is showing during the fair. The AK700 VC is another upgrade of the AK700, but with a larger cooling surface. Just like the standard AK700, the AK700 VC is also available in a white model, the AK700 VC WH.

DeepCool is also showing the StationX 620. It has the same vapor chamber, but this model is much smaller and more compact and is also expected to be cheaper. On the other hand: we don't know for sure, because DeepCool doesn't mention the prices of any products anymore.

Reversible screen

Finally, DeepCool is showing the Silentnox Pro 360. That is a 360mm AIO water cooler with a curved screen, which now seems to be more the rule than the exception among water coolers. What is fairly unique about the Silentnox is that the screen can be removed from the cooling block by connecting magnets and pogo pins. This makes it easy to change orientation. This means that users with a tilted or inverted motherboard can also use the cooler.
