According to information from IT House 6 June, Dmitry Bakanov, General Manager of the Russian National Space Corporation, revealed during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on 4 June that the cost of space tourists travelling on board the Russian Soyuz manned ship to the International Space Station is currently approximately 2 billion roubles (IT House Note: the current exchange rate is approximately 185 million yuan).
He explained that, since the Soyuz spacecraft had to be accompanied by two professionals on a space tour mission - strictly trained astronauts - to ensure flight safety. “The rockets are classified according to the number of participants. There must be two professionals, since it is not possible to send amateur groups, and therefore approximately 2 billion roubles are required.”
Limited to high flight costs, the number of passengers willing to travel to near-Earth orbit at their own expense remains a global minority. Retrospective price changes show that in December 2019, space tourists on the Russian Soyuz-MS spacecraft were set at 2.5 billion roubles, and the 2 billion roubles given this time have been reduced.
It is worth noting that the Soyuz is carrying out an orbital mission in which tourists can stay on the International Space Station for more than a week, flying at an altitude of approximately 400 kilometres, and with suborbital flights that only cross the Carmen Line and provide only minutes of no-heavy experience at different levels of technical difficulty and operational cost.
In a lateral comparison,SpaceX The “one-person fare” for orbital-grade space travel is as high as US$ 55 million (the current exchange rate is approximately RMB 374 million).
At the suborbital flight level, Virgin Galaxy fares are estimated at $750,000 (at the current rate of exchange of approximately $5.095,000 yuan); suborbital fares previously suspended from the blue origin vary, mainly between $250.00 million (at the current rate of about $1698-27171 million yuan), while the first flight price in 2021 amounted to $28 million (at the current rate of about $190 million yuan).
In-country traversers' manned space is expected to achieve a human first flight (suborbital) in 2028, with a “spaceship ticket” of $3 million/Zhang in advance for sale, and a suborbital ticket of $10-15 million for deep blue space in 2024.
