On the evening of 3 March local time, Yemeni Al-Houthi forces issued a statement expressing appreciation for Iran ' s response to the attack by the United States and stating that Iran ' s actions had been instrumental in preventing Israel from attacking the Lebanese capital, Beirut. While reiterating its support for Iran ' s right to respond to any violations of its territory and national security, the statement criticized the continued permission of some Gulf States to the presence of United States military bases, which were used for operations against the States of the region. The statement also accused the countries concerned of placing themselves in the shape of victims of Iranian military operations while providing support to foreign forces. In addition, the Houthi forces expressed their appreciation for the resilience and persistence of the “resistance” forces in Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq and Yemen and reiterated their support for Iran's position.
