A seminar on the work of the Central Steering Group for Learning for the Development and Implementation of Good Political Performance was held in Kyoto on 3 June. The conference furthered the spirit of the important speech and instructions given by the General Secretary of Xi Jinping, provided training to the continued Central Steering Group and studied the deployment of further guidance on learning and education. The meeting was attended and addressed by a member of the Central Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) and Vice-Chairman of the Construction Leadership Group of the Central Party (CPP). The meeting was chaired by Liu Jin-guo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Secretary of the CPC Central Secretariat.
It was emphasized that the central party decision to continue to deploy four central guidance groups was to maintain the pressure and keep learning and education strong. The Steering Groups need to be more aware of the decisive significance of the “two-building” and to be determined to “two-maintenance” and to focus further on their responsibilities, and high standards require that guidance and supervision be done. It is important to focus on raising awareness of the need for a sustained effort in the form of awareness and commitment, and to further strengthen the intellectual and operational consciousness to develop and practice the concept of good political performance. The aim is to make a real difference, to make sure that the real sword is pushed and fixed, and to make a firm effort to prevent the paper from being altered or altered. The aim is to focus on overcoming the problems highlighted by the new officials, urging them to insist on realism, and to intensify their attacks so that the population can see change and gain. With a view to putting in place institutional rules, research is being undertaken to establish normal long-lasting mechanisms and to strengthen enforcement. With a view to tightening the burden of responsibility, local and unit party committees (groups) have been urged to promote the study of learning as one and to combine learning education with the work of the advancement centres to ensure that learning is effective.
