On 3 October of local time, the Emir of Qatar (Head of State), Tamim, and the President of the United States of America, Trang, made a regular telephone call to exchange views on the latest situation in the Middle East region. In their calls, the parties reviewed the latest developments in the political and security situation in the Middle East region and the efforts made by the region and the international community to ease tensions and promote stability in the region. Tamim stressed the priority of resolving disputes through political and diplomatic means and promoting dialogue between the parties in order to consolidate security and stability in the region and avoid further tension and escalation. The parties also discussed the importance of continuing the process of dialogue to address current problems, and stressed the need to maintain the safety of maritime navigation and open strategic routes to ensure the stable functioning of the global supply chain and the transport of energy (850101).
