Fellow Traveller, the publisher behind games like Titanium Court and 1000xResist, has just wrapped up its Story-Rich showcase showcasing a variety of narrative-driven indie games. With over 20 games on display, there was a lot to keep up with, but we've rounded up some of the most notable announcements below. Ambrosia Sky is getting its second and final episode.
Ambrosia Sky, a sci-fi game about death where you have to eliminate an alien fungus, will debut its second act with a free update on August 6th. The game was originally planned to have three acts, but developer Soft Rains announced in March that it would be scaled back to two acts. When Act 2 is released, the price of the game will increase from $14.99 to $24.99.
Citizen Sleeper game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2
Sci-fi RPGs Citizen Sleeper and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector are releasing Switch 2 versions on June 25th. If you already own the version on the original Switch, you can play the Switch 2 version at no additional cost. Developer Gareth Damian Martin also said he would reveal his next game at the PC Gaming Show on Sunday.
Desktop Explorer, a spooky game that lets you rummage through old computers, is coming in July.
This trailer for Desktop Explorer, a click-to-run horror puzzle game that runs a creepy version of an old operating system like Windows, may be the scariest way to use a computer. It starts on July 17th.
Demonschool is getting DLC and is coming to Switch 2
The upcoming paid DLC for Demonschool, Necrosoft's tactical RPG that channels Buffy and Persona, focuses on "puzzle battles" where players use specific characters to try to eliminate enemies in one turn. Both the DLC and the Switch 2 version (with mouse support and improved frame rates) are scheduled for release this year.
Point-and-click thriller developer is creating a fantasy game
Powerhoof, the studio behind last year's retro mystery game The Drifter, is currently developing the "fantasy adventure epic" The Telwynium. “Book One” of the game is currently available on Steam, and can also be downloaded from Itch.io if you prefer.
New detective game ‘Mermaid Mask’ to be released in July
SFB Games, which produced games such as Tangle Tower and Crow Country, will release its next game, Mermaid Mask, on July 16. A locked door mystery featuring full voice acting and hand-drawn animation. This seems like a great story to settle into this summer.
