The first trailer to Alien Isolation 2 kidnaps the horror on a colony planet

The abbreviated name “AI 2” is the most creepy of it.

Time works differently in space and on other planets, so that the over ten years that fans of “Alien Isolation” have been waiting for the continuation, may have felt like an eyelash on another world. In fact, however, 12 years have been waiting for it. After a first teaser last month, during the main presentation of the Summer Game Fest in the form of a cinema trailer, we were able to take a first real look at Alien Isolation 2.

The short clip shows a staggered station, a flame thrower, a shrine and a xenomorph. So all the right elements. According to the developers of Creative Assembly, the continuation of the Survivor-Horror actually plays on “a remote colony world devastated by the storm”, which gives the extraterrestrial much more space to pursue its prey. Instead of being locked in a spaceship, players will “navigate over the surface of the planet and explore the claustrophobic boundaries of the Weyland-Yutani outpost of the Kurosaki station”. So maybe not so much more space.

No publication window was confirmed for Alien Isolation 2. The game appears on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2. The trailer contained pre-alpha film material, so it could take a while. Therefore, you may need to blink a few more times before it appears.
