News from IT House 6 June, Stellantis Malaysia announced in a press release that the Zero Runs officially started local assembly at the Stellantis Gieday State Baron Manufacturing Centre, and that the downloading model would be Zero C10 and B10 would then join production.

Stellantis states that the local assembly of Zero Runners is part of a long-term layout and that the company wants to make Malaysia a major manufacturing centre, while promoting local industrialization, to make Malaysian consumers more exposed to high-tech, high-end, pure-electric products.

Stellantis had previously invested €2.23 million (IT House Note: The current exchange rate is approximately RM$ 17.5 million) for local assembly development. It is understood that C10 is now in production, and B10's assembly plan was launched by 2026. Stellantis has also arranged for capital expenditure of Euro3.1 million (at a current rate of exchange of around RMB 243.28 million) to be earmarked for upgrading production lines and infrastructure at the gallon factory.

At this stage, Stellantis ' production plan focuses on the supply of new cars to the Malaysian market, while assessing future export opportunities from the gallon to the wider ASEAN market.

Technical and assembly operators at the Stellantis Baron factory have received specialized training to respond to the advanced zero-run software and whole-car architecture. Plant workers are now certified to safely handle high voltage electric car systems up to 800 V.
