InPost has been on an upward trend for some time (well, maybe apart from Von Halsky, but we won't talk about that now) and it has no intention of stopping. Recently, the company boasted about expanding its operations to additional countries and increasing the number of available shipping and receiving points. Last week we saw a suitcase that fits into a parcel locker and will probably significantly change the way we travel around Europe with low-cost airlines.

Now the company has become famous, all thanks to one post by President Macron.

What's going on here? About money. InPost increased its planned investments in France from EUR 0.9 billion to EUR 1.4 billion. And where do InPost's investments come from in a country where snails cannot feel safe? The company has long treated this market as one of its key investment areas. In 2021, it took over the Mondial Relay brand and had approximately 300 parcel devices in France. Today there are already 11,000 of them. and the company is one of the most important players on the French market.

According to InPost data, since 2021 it has invested EUR 900 million in France, created over 600 jobs and opened new investment facilities. The new pool of funds will be allocated to the modernization of the sorting plant, which will significantly increase the processing capacity. 750 new jobs also convinced the French president to boast about InPost's investment. Meanwhile, Rafał Brzoska could not resist and stuck a few pins in the Polish economic and official apparatus.

Some say there is no coincidence here. In Europe, shipments from China are becoming more and more popular and will soon be subject to additional fees. A developed network of collection points is to be one of the arguments why Chinese stores will choose InPost as the default delivery method. And then the EUR 500 million will pay off instantly. Regardless of the motive behind the decision, the Polish company deserves congratulations. Its expansion into European markets shows how long Polish companies have come.
