Square Enix will release the third and final Final Fantasy 7 remake next year. Final Fantasy Revelation once again revolves around Cloud and his friends taking on Sephiroth. It is striking that the game is released for all consoles and PC at the same time and therefore not as an exclusive.

Square Enix showed off the game on Friday evening during Summer Game Fest. A video with gameplay footage features bad guy Sepiroth again, in addition to the well-known turn-based battles. There are also new psynergy's in the game and players can fly in the Highwind again.

The trailer shows, among other things, how players can now play as Vincent Valentine, which was not possible in the previous parts. They can also visit places from the original game, such as Wutai.

Part 3 of the series will be released for the first time not only as an exclusive for the PlayStation, but also for the XBOX Series X and S and for the Switch 2. The game will also be available for the PC. Previous parts of Final Fantasy 7, such as Remake and Rebirth, were first released as exclusives for Sony's console. Earlier this week it was announced that Rebirth will also be released for the Switch 2. The game will be released in the spring of next year.
