Halfway between a simple clock and more expensive connected screens, the GeekMagic SmallTV-Ultra is a fun and highly customizable little screen. Unlike a classic home automation station, this gadget focuses on the essentials: the time and weather, retrieved via its Wi-Fi connection. Whether you're looking for a fun display on your desk or an extra monitor, this adorable clock is currently available for just €5.49 at the retailer.

Offered on the Aliexpress online store, this SmallTV-Ultra connected screen at €5.49 benefits from fast and completely free home delivery.
A miniature design inspired by old televisions
With its Lilliputian size of 45 x 35 x 40 mm, this mini digital clock station mimics the appearance of the cathode ray screens of yesteryear. The 1.5 inch panel (i.e. approximately 28 x 28 mm of visible surface, 240 x 240 px) displays bright colors for correct readability on your work surface, despite a size close to that of a connected watch.
Powered directly via USB, it does not contain an internal battery and therefore remains autonomous as long as it is connected to a power source such as a computer port.
A customizable station for tinkering enthusiasts
Thanks to Wi-Fi, this clock automatically retrieves the weather forecasts for a large number of cities via an online service. The local interface allows you to modify themes or import around thirty personal visuals, thus creating your own digital office setting.
One thing to keep in mind before ordering: for this price, the SmallTV-Ultra itself measures nothing. It has no built-in temperature or humidity sensors and only displays data retrieved from the Internet via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz only). A permanent network connection is therefore essential for it to serve as a clock and weather station.
For the most experienced, its ESP8266 Wi-Fi chip (an SoC, which integrates processor and connectivity on the same chip) is a fantastic development gateway. By flashing the device under ESPHome (a simple manipulation via its local interface), this charming screen can integrate directly into your Home Assistant ecosystem and display your home automation data or other software variables (like the consumption of tokens in Claude Code, for example).
Small nuance for home automation enthusiasts: unlike the SmallTV-Pro model (based on a more expensive ESP32), the Ultra does not natively manage the monitoring of stock prices or cryptocurrencies. It remains focused on the time, the weather and the display of images or GIFs. On the other hand, nothing stops you from tinkering with it.
