Trump signed an executive order asking AI to let the government evaluate its new model first.

The President of the United States, Trump, signed an executive order on Tuesday requiring AI to allow the government to evaluate its new model first. It also requires AI to participate on a voluntary basis in a benchmarking process to assess the “advanced network capacity” of the model and to determine whether it should be considered a “protected front-line model”. The Executive Order requires AI to grant access to the Government up to 30 days in advance of the official release of the new model.
