For 95% of cases, this is sufficient. The method below is for situations where you also want to escape the notification on the admin side, or simply hide a group without leaving it.

How to leave a WhatsApp group without being discovered (even by admins)?

There is no direct function to leave a group incognito, but this manipulation in the options does the job very well:

- Open the top menu in a newsgroup and select Mute Notifications

- Then select Notifications muted for… then Always. Don't forget to uncheck Show notifications and confirm.

- You will then no longer receive notifications from this group, but it will still appear on your main feed. To make the group disappear, simply archive it using a long press then archiving the group.

The advantage of this method is that it is completely reversible.
