User is using Android Auto makes some common mistakes.
These errors may cause technical problems or cause you to miss your function.
Some of the errors relate to cell phone settings and others to cables.
Android Auto can make your driving less boring, more efficient and even safer, provided you use it in the right way. After months of being very familiar with Android Auto and finding many new ways of using it, I began to notice that other drivers had made the same mistakes I had made.
You probably made at least one mistake without realizing it. You may not only miss the full functionality of the software, but may also cause problems that Android Auto cannot use.
How to handle these five common mistakes.
Here are some of the most common errors I have seen in the use of Android Auto, and how to fix them.
Error 1: Use cheap cables
The use of garbage drawers or cable from gas stations to connect mobile phones to Android Auto could cause many problems. Some cables only support very slow speed or do not support data transmission at all, and even damaged or old cables may cause problems. Android Auto uses a large amount of data, and if you use a cable designed to charge it, it can cause problems of connection, delay or random loss of wire.
Ensures that the Android Auto data transfer line you use comes from a well-reputable brand (Anker is a good option) and that you do not use unnecessary long cables. Longer cables make the connection vulnerable to degradation.
Error 2: Always Wireless
Wireless is indeed convenient, but it is not always the best way to use Android Auto. I've tested both of them myself, and the cable version is clearly faster and more responsive. Wireless connections will also put more pressure on your cell phone -- it keeps using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which will exhaust your batteries. If you are only connected to music during your day-to-day driving, you may be well placed to use the wireless network, but if you are running multiple applications and navigating, or preparing to travel by road, you may need to use the wireless network.
Many times you want to make sure the application doesn't consume too many batteries, but it's not one of them. Your Android Auto may be affected if you turn on the battery optimizer (which will limit the application in which too many batteries are used) or the battery protection program (which will fully implement the restriction). To ensure this, go to Setup > Application > Android Auto > Battery, and then choose Unlimited.
Error four: No offline maps used
This error may surprise you when you need Android Auto most. You can choose to download maps in Google You can lose navigation if you drive on a road or in an area that often does not have mobile phone services. You may never need offline maps, but if you need them, you'll be happy to have them.
Error 5: IgnoreGemini.Voice control
If you think that voice control in Android Auto is too frustrating to use, because they never work, then you miss it because Gemini's better. In two different experiments using Gemini in Android Auto, I learned that the progress of voice control goes far beyond "playing songs" or "reading my text messages." I believe Gemini integration is one of the biggest improvements in Android Auto in a long time.
Android Auto is in the best position when it's “normally running”, but small things can hinder an excellent experience. The good news is, once you know what to look for, most problems can be solved easily.
