YouTube TV gets a fully custom multi-view feature that applies to all channels

YouTube TV has launched a custom multi-view for subscribers. This has long been a key selling point for sport, but the function will now be applied to all channels.

The subscribers can even mix different packages, including NFL Sunday tickets. This means that users can set up their own fully customized screens, showing anything they want, from football to the weather, to the latest episode of the CBS.

The company began testing this a few years ago, so we have been waiting for the real multi-view option of going beyond sports on that platform. It's all accessed through a tool called Multiview Builder, as it sounds.

Here's a little warning. The multi-view feature is currently only available for live content and therefore cannot be seen at the same time as the episode of The Night Demon: Rebirth. In addition, YouTube indicates that some devices do not support custom multiviews. It did not provide a list but did indicate that this would affect “less than 5 per cent of the equipment”.
