DSA Transparency Report
EU Digital Services Act (Regulation 2022/2065) · Reporting period: 2025
This Transparency Report is published pursuant to Article 27 of the Digital Services Act (DSA — Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) and applies to aimode.news LLC as a provider of an intermediary service accessible to recipients in the EU.
1. Service Description
aimode.news is a technology intelligence platform that aggregates and publishes news content from a global network of sources. Our Service includes:
- A public-facing website publishing translated and original technology news;
- A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for AI agent integration;
- Subscription services (Free, Pro $9/month, Enterprise $49/month);
- A newsletter via Buttondown;
- A community comment system via Giscus.
We qualify as an intermediary service within the meaning of Article 2(a) DSA. We do not qualify as a VLOP/VLOSE as our monthly active users are below the 45 million threshold.

3. Content Moderation Policies
3.1 Content We Publish
- Aggregated news: From a global network of sources, with attribution.
- Original editorial content: Small volume of original reporting.
- User comments: Via Giscus, subject to GitHub Community Guidelines and our own.
3.2 Moderation Approach
- Source vetting: We curate sources and exclude those predominantly publishing illegal content. Quarterly review.
- Automated filtering: Translation pipeline checks for malformed content, spam, and malicious URLs. Flagged content quarantined for manual review.
- Manual review: Editorial team reviews flagged content and user reports, prioritizing illegal hate speech (Framework Decision 2008/913/JHA), terrorist content (Regulation 2021/784), CSAM (Directive 2011/93/EU), and dangerous counterfeit goods.
- Comment moderation: Combination of Giscus/GitHub community moderation and our own review. Reports reviewed within 24 hours.

4. Advertising Practices
We currently do not display any advertising on our Service. Our revenue model is based entirely on subscription fees (Pro and Enterprise tiers). If we introduce advertising in the future, we will:
- Ensure all ads are clearly identifiable as advertising (Art. 26 DSA);
- Provide transparency about the main parameters used for targeting;
- Not serve ads based on special categories of personal data (Art. 26(3));
- Not serve ads to minors.
5. Terms of Service Enforcement
We enforce our Terms of Service through:
- Automated rate limiting: MCP API requests are rate-limited per tier to prevent abuse.
- Account suspension: Accounts violating Terms may be suspended. In 2025, 3 accounts were suspended for MCP API abuse.
- Content removal: Content found to violate applicable law is removed promptly upon notification.
- Source removal: Sources that consistently produce illegal content are removed from our aggregation pipeline.
6. Complaint Handling
We handle complaints through the following channels:
- Illegal content notifications: legal@aimode.news — reviewed within 24 hours
- Content corrections: corrections@aimode.news
- Privacy/data protection: privacy@aimode.news
- General complaints: legal@aimode.news
We acknowledge receipt of notifications without undue delay and provide a decision within a reasonable timeframe, in accordance with Art. 16 DSA.
7. Out-of-Court Dispute Settlement
Pursuant to Art. 21 DSA, we are willing to engage with out-of-court dispute settlement bodies certified by the Digital Services Coordinator of establishment. Currently, we are not aware of any certified bodies applicable to our service type. We will update this section as certified bodies become available.
